Too often technology and urban planning are separate disciplines. We have developed a unique methodology to calibrate digital infrastructure investments with smart city public policy objectives and improved citizen services. We developed the program strategies and investment grants for these large-scale smart city initiatives:
Istanbul, Turkey – AI and predictive analytics platform to support IMM’s “Transportation and Traffic Excellence” program to reduce traffic in one of the most congested cities in the world.
Ankara, Turkey – Modernization and optimization of city bus route planning through machine learning and advanced real time analytics.
Amman, Jordan – Smart city digital roadmap and traffic surveillance and optimization platform.
Davao City, Philippines – Modernization of city emergency management and operations management center through new digital platforms.
Gaziantep, Turkey – Smart City digital roadmap and investment strategy.

Digital Built World
[ichcpt id=”1235″][expand title=”Read More…”]
Investors, insurers and physical infrastructure asset holders increasingly equate future value creation with digital innovation. Every “thing” of economic value – from rebar sensors in concrete to smart manhole covers – is being virtualized with its own identity, address, and data stream. Analytic tools that observe, monitor and predict the performance of places and structures opens the door to an entirely new realm of anticipatory design, asset valuation and data monetization.
While there is ample hyperbole around the promise of IoT – Data is the new oil! Data is the infrastructure of the 21st century! – the unfolding array of data that abstracts the built environment and “digital built world” is having a transformative impact on developers, investors and the architecture, engineering and construction sector.
NDA brings unique digital experience to developers, municipalities and AEC firms seeking to enhance digital strategy for large infrastructure investments.

Digital Public Health
[ichcpt id=”1246″][expand title=”Read More…”]
We designed U.S. technical assistance for Sichuan Province’s Regional Healthcare Information Network following the disastrous Wenchuan Earthquake, a ground-breaking initiative to speed delivery of remote healthcare services and support for primary clinics that catalyzed a $50 million investment by Cisco. We also conducted an in-depth assessment of China’s national public healthcare data standards and prepared a comprehensive white paper on the market potential for trans-border trade in telemedicine and healthcare virtualization services.[/expand]
Emergency Response
[ichcpt id=”1248″][expand title=”Read More…”]
For the 26-nation “Pacific Endeavor” exercise and Multinational Communications Interoperability Program, we designed engagement protocols to improve military-civilian cooperation during large-scale disasters through ICT, forming bridges for information sharing between Asia-Pacific militaries and the UN system, global humanitarian community and industry. We have also specified a number of national and municipal emergency operations projects targeting incident management and decision support, command centers, critical infrastructure protection, environmental monitoring, flood management, hazardous waste transportation and emergency medical services.[/expand]

Early Stage Ventures
[ichcpt id=”1252″][expand title=”Read More…”]
We know how to craft a business case that makes sense, calibrate tech investment and features with market requirements, and position solutions for institutional partnerships and exits. We work equally well with founders, boards and development teams to get everyone on the same page — and pivot when necessary. We get the tech part but believe more in the 95/5 rule: a successful startup is 95% about the business story, market positioning and narrative, 5% about the solution. Getting that equation right requires listening closely to market and competitive trends.[/expand]
